had a great year, and are pleased that you’ve looked to us to meet your HVAC/R
needs throughout. 2010 is just around the corner, but one thing you can count
on is that your local Totaline sales center will be there to help you get the new
year off to a great start. We’ll always have what you need, including Factory
Authorized Parts, which are exact drop-in replacements on your customers’
Carrier®, Bryant®, and Payne® equipment.

In this month’s Beyond Repair, we’ll talk about Payne brand gas furnaces
– you’ll learn about the value and benefit of offering your customers Payne
equipment. We’ll also tell you about our great Totaline thermostat lineup – no
matter what your customers’ needs, we have a t-stat that’s sure to fit the bill.

We’ll also take another look at the fine folks who have been in our Dealer
Spotlight this year. A big thank-you to them for the work they do every day – we
were happy to hear their stories and share them with you.

And remember – this is the last month that equipment using the refrigerant
R-22 will be manufactured. There are a lot of myths out there right now about
the transition from R-22 to R-410A. Totaline Category Manager Todd Parody is
on hand to answer some of the questions that might be on your mind.

Bob Carré is talking about financial planning in this month’s Tools of the
Trade, and I’m revisiting that pesky vent pipe that stumped me back in August.
Did one of you come up with the type of pipe, or does it remain a mystery? Find
out inside. There’s also my regular Stump Jim Flynn column, where I answer a
question about R-410A.
